We are pleased to announce NetResults’ participation in the D.A.I.MON (Dynamic Artificial Intelligence Monitoring) project, created in response to the MISE-accordi per l’innovazione II sportello (MISE-agreements for innovation II window) call for proposals issued by the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy, which aims to create a traffic monitoring and analysis system based on Artificial Intelligence, with a particular focus on stand-alone 5G network infrastructure.
D.A.I.MON. has been developed in partnership with Italian companies and centres of excellence in research, including Resi S.p.A, as project leader, IPS S.p.A and Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna.
The 36-month project is divided into a series of modules and innovative tools designed to ensure and optimise the proper functioning of networks and the resulting success of the services enabled on them.
Using artificial intelligence, the solution aims to move beyond the statistical-deterministic approach currently used in network monitoring and evolve towards a hybrid holistic-predictive model.
NetResults’ contribution, led by scientific director Sergio Borghese, is linked to the creation of ACTIVE components for capturing and analysing real traffic data.
The idea is to combine passive and active monitoring skills in order to create a unified platform with AI to analyse data and understand, extract information and predict possible problems.
